Community Programs & Projects
Programs
Meals on Wheels
We provide funding to the Darlington County Council on Aging. These funds provide meals to Seniors in our community, through the Meals on Wheels Program.
After School Care Scholarships
We provide funding to the Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA to use for scholarships given to low income, working parents. Giving their children a safe and fun environment while their parents are still at work.
Temporary Housing for Disaster Victims
Working with local hotels, we help provide temporary housing for victims of fires and other natural disasters.
Medical Care Assistance
We provide funding to numerous free medical programs that assist those without insurance and those who are low income receive the essential medical treatment they need.
Rent/Mortgage & Utility Assistance
We provide funding to Hartsville Interfaith Ministries (HIM) who then help those who are facing crisis situations cover utility and housing payments.
Projects
Born Learning Trails
Byerly Park & Pride Park
At Pride Park United Way of Hartsville had pavements put in, through out the park.
We then worked in conjunction with several other Community Partners and businesses to create “Born Learning Trails” at both parks.
These are interactive trails for youngsters and their caregivers.
