Home Repair Program
We are so proud and excited to start our Home Repair Program (HRP)! This program will be geared towards fixing or replacing roofs for those who are struggling to make ends meet and dealing with a failing roof. We are incredibly grateful to the donors who made more than $25,000 in donations to help us meet the maximum matching grant from SPC, who matched with an additional $25,000 donation and to Ricky Anderson, from Sandhill Roofing, who has partnered with us and is completing the roof repairs and replacements at a significantly discounted rate.
The current scope of our program will help 8 Seniors, Disabled and/or Veterans who own their homes, are trying to make ends meet but are struggling, and have a failing roof. The program officially started it’s first roof replacement on June 20th, 2025.
Our hope, as we work through these first 8 roof replacements, is to be able to expand the program to include repairs for Floors, Bathrooms, Ramps, and HVAC.
With the help of our individual donors, our corporate donors, our partnerships with SPC and Duke Energy, and our contracting partners, we are making dreams come true.
HRP Partnership with Duke Energy
We are excited to announce an addition to our Home Repair Program through a new partnership. Duke Energy has stepped in to make an even larger impact on the lives of those we are helping.
Once we visit with the homeowners and determine they qualify for our program, the homeowner is given the opportunity to have Duke Energy assess their home for energy efficiency needs. If they are approved, Duke Energy will address needs such as new windows, door and window seals, insulation replacement or install, and HVAC repairs, at no cost to the homeowner.
