April Showers…
We all know that April Showers bring May Flowers… but what else does April bring?
April brings Spring Cleaning, Home Remodels or Refreshes, Easter Gatherings and all the excitement of the upcoming Summer. What are your plans… BBQ’s, Picnics, Parties and Vacations?
While you’re enjoying all that April brings, remember your neighbors who may not feel that excitement this month. As you’re cleaning out or refreshing your home, consider donating your gently used clothing, home goods and furniture for those who are getting back on their feet. Consider a donation of $25 or $50 for a Grocery Card for Seniors or Disaster Victims who may not be having an Easter dinner this year, but would be so grateful for help with basic pantry items. As it begins to heat up outside, please remember we accept Used, Clean Air Conditioners in Good Working Order, and Clean floor, table or box Fans for our Seniors in need and Disaster Victim programs.
And with those April Showers in mind…
We have an exciting partnership this Spring!
We have many neighbors who struggle with a leaking roof and this year SPC Credit Union has partnered with United Way of Greater Hartsville to help these residents with a roof replacement!! We have already pre-selected several local Seniors and Families to receive a New Roof, but we need your help. For every Dollar we raise for this Roof Program, SPC will give a donation match up to $25,000!
If you would like to donate to our roof program, please use the “Click Here to Give” button on this page and type “ROOF” in the Comments section on the donation form.
If we are able to reach our goal of $50,000 ($25K from donations and $25K from SPC) we will be able to help each of our pre-selected families and shower them with April excitement!
